This year's show was very successful. We had more dealers than last year, had a delicious Preview Party, added Decorators and
Repair technicians to the Identifiers.
Preservation Foundation Thank you
The New Bern Preservation Foundation recently held its annual Antique Show and Sale. This is one of the premier events in New Bern thanks to the many hours of effort and various levels of support throughout the community.
The Foundation wants to express its thanks to all that helped make this possible, from our generous Partners in Preservation to the dealers that brought so many lovely items. We also thank the numerous advertisers especially the Sun Journal , the media sponsor and the tickets sellers - Harris Teeter and Mitchell’s Hardware. Thanks too for the many donations from our merchants and individuals for the Preview event. The decorators, craftsmen and “identifiers”‘ always add to the show and they are appreciated. In addition, the show‘s success is dependent on the professional support of the Convention Center staff – they always deliver.
Any event like this one also requires hundreds of hours of volunteer help – to all that gave of their time and energy –a big Thank You. This is especially true of the Committee members who worked for over a year to bring this to fruition.
Finally we thank all that came – the purchase of tickets as well as lovely antiques makes this the success it is. The dealers really like the New Bern show – it’s intimate, friendly and everyone has a good time.
The planning for next year – starting on Valentine’s Day is already underway - no time to rest on our laurels! We, the members of the Preservation Foundation, are grateful that we have such a supportive community in New Bern and Eastern Carolina to help us continue our effort to preserve the rich fabric of the area.
