From the Horse's Mouth . . .

~ Tonight 8 p.m. Grand Ball for the President ~
 Ticketed event on the South Lawn of Tryon Palace
 
Enjoy colonial era music and elegant period
desserts and spirits.
 
Watch the President dance the minuet with an honored lady of New Bern. Toast the President and many others.
End the evening with dancing under the stars(or clouds).
 
~ Tomorrow 12:30 p.m. Treaty Tree Brunch ~
 Ticketed event at 520 East Front St.
 
A farewell brunch for the President in the yard of a historic home overlooking the Neuse River. A buffet of foods from the Washingon era will delight guests.
Please note - Rain location is
the Rivertowne Ballroom 305 Pollock St.
 
Tomorrow 2 p.m. President Washington Departs 
 
Following the brunch, the President will lead a procession from the brunch to his departure point beside Persimmons Restaurant, where he will board the Ada Mae and leave New Bern.
 
So ends the celebration of the 224th anniversary of
Washingtons Southern Tour of 1791.
