To Celebrate National Preservation Month

Join Us for A Special Tour This Coming Sunday, May 22.

The New Bern Preservation Foundation has organized a free tour of two little known architectural treasures on Sunday May 22nd , from 2pm to 4pm.

The sites open include: The Old City Hall Courtroom, 224 Craven Street. and Judge Nunn’s Office (Dr. F.W. Hughes Building) 219B Craven Street, ca. 1907.

This is a decidedly offbeat tour showing two of New Bern’s rarely-seen treasures. The tour is of spaces that have never been restored and have been vacant for decades. Both sites are exhibited as-is.

For safety it is recommended to wear sturdy clothes and sneakers or other sensible shoes. There are no elevators; there will be steps to climb, so tour attendees should decide individually whether they will be able to visit these properties. We hope you can join us this Sunday, May 22.
